I'm based in the center of Tel Aviv, just 500 meters from the Beach. I do my best to go there every morning before work. Most of the days in the past year I have been working from home, as a motion designer and illustrator on Wix’s Broadcast team. When my workday is over I usually go out to meet friends for a drink, watch Netflix or just go back to the beach to take a look at the sun’s last moments before it disappears at the sea.
Q: What does an average day look like for you ↪
Q: What sparked the idea for the collection?
I have this problem - I can’t make it on time anywhere. I wanted to start working on the collection with the running character. Since I’m always late I find myself in a rush but most of the time it doesn’t really help and I know I’m going to be late anyway. So I’m just taking it easy like the other two characters. It’s been a while since I was working on a classic animation project on my own and it has been really fun to bring back some old tricks and habits to my table.
I really don’t know. This is something I've been doing from a very young age and I feel creative work is something that defines me in a way. I love any kind of field that requires creativity and curiosity. So I guess if I wasn’t a designer I would have found myself in the film, music, culinary, or even computer industry.
Q: What does an average day look like for you ↪
Lately, I have found a new never ending source of inspiration - embroideries on tickets of vintage clothes. You could find some beautiful and surprising stuff there- from typography to illustrations and even surprising color combinations.

I decided to give all characters a fun quirky look. Trying to figure out how each character moves and acts wasn’t as simple as I thought it would be. With the help of Elad Naim, one of my teammates on the broadcast team, we created a 3D reference for all of the character’s heads. This helped me to give the motion a rich and interesting look.

While looking for a reference for the rollerblades dude, I found some amazing videos of rollerblades communities that do some pretty impressive things. This sport is not so popular here in Tel Aviv but maybe it should be.
