Let’s take a look at how to communicate in real-time on Editor X using live comments.


So you’ve already got a team account set up—or you’ve got some freelancers working with you on a site, with roles & permissions assigned.


You’re busy at work, possibly from different locations and you want your content specialist to try out a new headline. What’s the process?


Select the headline, and from the floating action bar, click the Comment icon.


Now you can type a comment for that specific element. To tag a particular person, just type @ and a list of everyone with access to the site will appear. We’ll tag Neta, our content editor here.


At the top of the panel, you’ll see that the element we’re talking about is listed. (Here it’s the ‘Simply’ text). From the 3 dots, you can edit or delete the comment as well.


‘Neta’ will now get an email notification to let her know about the tag,  just in case she’s not on the site.

Ok, now let’s take a look at the editor from Neta’s perspective.


Once she selects the comment here in the Comments panel, the element referred to will be highlighted.


Since comments are page specific, there will be a list of separate comments per page.


‘Neta’ can now edit the content, reply to the comment and resolve it if she wants.


The dropdown menu lets you filter comments to present open or resolved ones.


And you can choose to just view My Comments which shows ones you made yourself, any discussions you’re involved in, and any comments you’re tagged in.
