Welcome to Editor X, the website creation platform for pros, with advanced design & layouting tools. Let’s take a look at your workspace.

Your canvas is wide and flexible. With these resize handles, you can see and design your site at every viewport size.

Here on the top bar you have breakpoints. To style for specific devices, you can jump from desktop, to tablet, to mobile.

You can also create custom breakpoints. Open your breakpoint panel and add a new one wherever you want.

Your new breakpoints will show up on the top bar like this.

Open the Inspector panel to see and control the size, position and behavior of each element.

Choose whether to size your elements in pixels, percent, viewport height or width.

For an image, you’ll see that by default, it’s set to Scale proportionally with the viewport.

You can change it to Fixed, which keeps your image at an exact pixel size or to Fluid which resizes the width of your image as the viewport changes.

Editor X has a smart system that auto-docks elements to the closest edge.

In the Inspector panel under Position, you can change the docking to relate to the edge you want.

To control how text breaks and resizes on all viewports, use Scale Text.

Set your range from the smallest font size to the largest to control the scale.

You can always place elements freely on your canvas, but to create a relationship between them, use Stack.

This automatically puts them inside a flexbox. The flexbox knows the right order of these elements and controls how they should push each other. This prevents an overlap when resizing. You can vertically stack any items, including images.

Editor X offers smart containers called Layouters which also run on flexbox technology. They auto-stack and organize your content, so it’s great for a more structured layout.

Choose between displays for the one that works best for your design.

Your most advanced layouting tool is CSS grid. Apply the grid you want to design your section.

CSS grid creates a 2-dimensional framework and gives you precise control over your layout at every viewport.

Edit the grid to change its dimensions and add new columns and rows to suit your design.

Click Preview to see commonly used devices so you can be confident that your site will look perfect on every possible screen.
